The Palestinian Bar Association expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the decisions of the Israeli occupation’s military commander to shut down Palestinian human rights and civil society organizations

The Palestinian Bar Association denounced the Israeli occupation state decisions ordering the shutdown of six Palestinian human rights and civil society organizations early morning today. The Bar Association considered such decisions and orders issued by the occupation’s military government as one of the many crimes committed by the occupation and further reflection of its arrogance within the framework of its expansionist colonial project at the expense of the occupied people, its land and its institutions.

Furthermore, the Bar Association warned that these orders and measures are a continuation of the occupation's policy of targeting all Palestinian national institutions that work to defend the rights of the occupied Palestinian people and expose the crimes of the occupation that are in violation of the international law and international norms and conventions.

The Bar Association sent letters to the Arab Lawyers Union, international human rights unions and human rights organizations in order to expose the occupier’s policy towards Palestinian human rights institutions before the world public opinion and in order to adopt a unified international stand that puts an end to this behavior emanating from the brutal military occupation force and the excessive arrogance it practices in violation of the most basic rules and provisions of international law.
